Harry Long, one of our first class pupils had his entry in a national competition selected for Maths Week 2017. During Maths Week Harry entered a photo competition. The aim of this competition was to  take a photo and come up with a caption to show that maths is all around us in our everyday lives. Harry was overall U7 Maths Eyes winner.  At an award ceremony in IT Tallaght last Monday Harry received a Trophy and a copy of his photo made into a poster. This poster will be used to help...

In September I measured Horeswood GAA pitch with a trundle wheel.I used a scale of  150:1. I cut a sheet of ply wood 150cm by 90cm. I marked out the perimeter of the pitch,  car park and the squares. I mixed green paint and saw dust for the grass.  I made two stands at home out of tongued  and grooved timber. I made goals and ball stoppers out of dowels and put on nets.
